Happy Birthday, Harry! :D

I thought such a special occasion merited an update. :D The next chapter will be up next week on Wednesday, NOT on Sunday (I'm sorry!) because it won't be finished by then. :S
So, until further notice, Wednesday is the new day for updates. :)
That means, however, that I've just put a chapter up... the trial is here (finally!). :D

Here's the preview:

“Witnesses for the offence: Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Victoria Marie Knight, Christopher Stanley Clearwater and John Andrew Dawlish.” Sirius was a little surprised that Marlene hadn’t been listed, and had a quick look around. Just because we’re enemies now, he told himself, and it’s good to know where your enemies are.

Liar, said a voice that sounded a bit like his own.

Shut up, he grumbled, and glanced around again, but couldn’t spot her. He could, however, see Robards, by the door, clutching something small and golden – maybe a galleon? – but Marlene wasn’t with him, and he was too far away for Sirius to properly make out his expression. Fudge cleared his throat, apparently noticing Sirius’ distraction. “Witnesses for the defence: Sirius Orion Black... that’s all, I presume?”

“Y-” Sirius’ answer, however, was cut off by another voice, that rang throughout the courtroom.

Enjoy!
Until next Wednesday!

Hello, everyone!
The next chapter's up and the trial's fast approaching... :D

Here's the preview:

Harry didn’t hear McKinnon’s response. He went into the courtyard, slipped in through the back doors and then crept down the hallway. If Snape and Mrs Malfoy were talking, they’d either be in the library, or in Mr Malfoy’s study, and the study at least, was near the bathroom.

Yes, Harry thought, as Snape’s voice drifted through the closed study door.

“-ly exists if one or both parties are aware of the debt’s existence.”

“And is that likely?” Mrs Malfoy asked in a low voice. Harry struggled to hear her.

“Who knows what Black’s told Potter? And Pettigrew-” Harry inhaled sharply and crept as close to the door as he dared. “-has proven more than enough times that he’s not to be underestimated. He’s a fool, but he is not an idiot.”

“So if they know- if one of them knows, Potter could have him do anything?” Harry’s breath caught.

“Anything,” Snape repeated grimly.

Enjoy!

Hi all!

I hope you're enjoying your respective weekends. If you are, hopefully this will add to it, and if you're not, hopefully this makes it a bit better. :)

Here's the preview:

“Don’t apologise,” she said after a moment. “You’ve got every right to be as rude to me as you want.” Harry kept staring. “We’re not exactly friends, are we?” She was right – she’d tried to arrest Padfoot last September – but she’d also been the one that found Padfoot after their visit to the cave and she’d kept him alive, and she’d been quiet but civil while she was on guard duty down in the cells.

“We’re not enemies,” Harry said finally, and headed down the hallway toward the foyer.

“Not- He didn’t tell you?” she said quietly.

“Tell me what?” Harry asked, stopping. McKinnon’s face was pale, and she shook her head. Harry knew she wasn’t going to answer, but at least she hadn’t said it was nothing, or pretended not to know what he was talking about.

“You don’t hate me?” she whispered.

“No,” Harry said warily. “Should I?”

Until next week!

He, everyone! :D
This is just a message to tell you that, due to popular demand, I've published the scores that James and Sirius obtained in "Trainee". They're up on HPFF and on FF.net.
That's all from me for the moment. :)

Sunday, 14th July 2013

Hi everyone! :D
It's Sunday, and you know by now what that means, so I won't prattle on. :)

Here's the preview:

“Can I trust you?” Severus arched an eyebrow and stared at the boy, who stared right back.

“Yes,” he said slowly. Draco stared at him a moment longer and then nodded once.

“That’s true,” he said, looking relieved. Severus wasn’t sure if it was true or not, but at the moment, Draco’s trust was likely a good thing so Severus wasn’t about to challenge his decision. “So does that mean I can trust Mother?”

“Pardon?” Severus drawled.

“Something... happened,” Draco said uncertainly. “It was yesterday. I lied to Father about it.”

“And he believed you?” Draco’s chin came up again.

“I didn’t blink once,” he said proudly. Severus hid a smirk and gestured for his godson to continue. “Once I’d lied, I couldn’t take it back.” Severus suspected both Draco’s pride and his self-preservation instincts were the reason for that, and couldn’t decide if it was more Slytherin or more Gryffindor of him. “It’s a- it’s something that should be a secret... and Father’s always said to keep secrets for when we have to tell them to get something... only that’s not why I did it.”

Enjoy!

Sunday, July 7th 2013 (II)

Hi, everyone!
The third and final chapter of "Dark Days" is up. It's not a happy ending - I'll warn you of that right now. :S I hope you've enjoyed it, though - I really wanted to explore the war and the way it affects everyone, so hopefully I've managed that much.

Here's the preview:

Damn it, Prongs, talk louderhe thought. Peter didn’t hear anything either of them said after that, however. In fact, the only thing he heard was the cat mewling at the front door. He sighed and got up to let it in. It shot past him and up the stairs.

Peter heard Harry gurgle a hello, and then, before he really knew what he was doing, he’d climbed the stairs and pushed open the door of Harry’s room.

Harry chirped a greeting of some sort – and something about ‘Peya’ – and Peter felt silly for being caught by the little boy. Still, if he left now, Harry would probably cry. Peter inched closer to the crib, and Harry rolled over and stood on shaky legs to watch him. He was silent – Harry hadn’t been silent since he’d learned to talk. It suddenly occurred to Peter that this was the first time he’d ever been alone with the kid.

“You should be s-sleeping,” Peter told him, suddenly nervous. Harry stared back with enormous green eyes. They seemed too bright, too colourful on the face of a toddler. And, strangely, just like Dumbledore’s, they seemed to see right through Peter.

Thank you to everyone who's read and thank you to those of you that have reviewed! :D
Until next week!

Hi everyone! :D
The next chapter of "Innocent" is up - we're at the fiftieth chapter already! :D

Here's the preview:

“I’m not a danger to Harry,” he said. “We don’t have to be guarded – I’ve been saying this since we got here. I proved it when those Dementors came! The Aurors did a fat lot of good – I’m not blaming them,” he added, as Scrimgeour bristled, “-it was a bloody terrible situation. But Harry and I were unguarded, in the cell, all night-”

“There were Dementors,” Umbridge said primly.

“They were trying to attack us, not guard us,” Harry snapped. “If Pa-Sirius hadn’t been there-”

“If he hadn’t been there, we wouldn’t be in this situation, Mr Potter,” Umbridge said. Harry glowered at her. “In fact, I daresay we’d all be better off.”

“I wouldn’t be,” Harry muttered, but Sirius didn’t think anyone else had heard him.

There are some big things happening in this chapter - I'll be waiting to hear what you think! :D
Until tomorrow!

Saturday, July 6th 2013

Hi everyone! :D
As promised, there's another chapter of "Dark Days" up now. :) Tomorrow, I'll put up "Innocent"'s next chapter, and then a few hours after that, I'll put up the next installment of "Dark Days". :)

Here's the preview:

Remus rejoined them soon after and together, they twisted into the night. Sirius staggered upon landing again, and Remus and Peter fell onto the hard pavement outside Dorcas’ house with him. It was a good thing, too.

Light rushed over the top of Sirius’ head, missing him by less than an inch. Remus swore beside him and fired a hex off.

Dazed and clutching his stomach, he looked up, and saw Voldemort himself parry it with a lazy flick of his wand. Instinct took over and Sirius jerked his wand; the pavement shot up, creating a wall between them. A moment later, it shuddered as a spell hit it.

Enjoy!
Until tomorrow. :)

Hi everyone!
As I mentioned in my last post, I've been working on another story. It was supposed to be a one-shot, but now it'll have three parts, and will probably be about 20000 words... so yeah. :P
I've put the first part up just now - you can follow the link on the left to view it on HPFF, or if you're an FF.net user, you can access it from my author's page. :) I'll update it every day, so, for those of you on HPFF, that means both "Dark Days" and the next chapter of "Innocent" will be put up on Sunday. :D

Here's a preview of the first chapter:

“Come on, then,” Lily said to him, and then turned to James. “Will you be all right with Harry?” Taking him was out of the question; their old room at Hogwarts would be crowded enough without an energetic almost-one year old toddling around.

“We’ll be fine,” James said, despite the fact that he had no idea where his son was.

“Just you?” Sirius asked, chewing his lip.

“I’m a big boy,” James assured him. He tried to grin but it was weak; it’d be the first time Harry didn’t have two protectors with him since his birth. That was enough to make any parent nervous during war, but Harry was a prophecy child with Lord bloody Voldemort after him. Lily seemed to be thinking the same; her eyes were troubled. “Go on,” James said, giving them a proper smile this time. “They need you, Lils.” Sirius made a strange sound and rubbed a hand over his chin.

“Sirius-?” Lily began.

“Go, Padfoot,” James told him, but Sirius’ jaw was set.

Hopefully you enjoy this one, though it'll get quite dark in the second and third parts. :S
Until tomorrow!
