Hi everyone.
I don't have much to say at the moment - school's busy as usual - but when I was in the process of sorting through the folders on my computer - I'd misplaced an English essay - I found an older copy of "White Flags" that contains several thousand words of deleted scenes. They're mostly in the first few chapters and they're not very good at the moment, but if people are interested, I'll edit them and add them to the story. :)
I'd hoped to have a poll but it's not working, so just leave a comment saying yes or no as to whether you're interested in reading extra scenes. :)

Hi everyone! :D
I finished this weekend's homework much sooner than I expected and I've had a little bit of writing time...
My latest story is called "Monsters Lit By Moonlight". It's only a thousand or so words but I hope you enjoy it. As usual, the link is there on the right. :)
Here's an excerpt:
The wind blew gently, ruffling Remus’ hair like Daddy did sometimes and the leaves on the tree whispered. The gate creaked too. Remus tucked the book under his arm and lifted Daddy’s wand again so that he could see where he was going. The gate creaked again but this time, the wind hadn’t blown. Remus frowned and looked over. Something big was moving.
That's all for now. :)

At first he
thought it was a dog. A big, grey dog that was smiling at him. Then he knew he
hadn’t seen a dog that big before and decided it must be a wolf; he and Mummy
and Daddy lived right next to Hurtwood forest and wild animals wandered into their
garden all the time; a family of deer had come to eat their grass while Remus
had been reading that afternoon.
“Shoo,” he told it, waving
Daddy’s wand.That's all for now. :)

Hi everyone! :)
Things have been rather busy lately, so the blog's been a bit neglected, but I'm back in business at the moment:
Firstly, I've been so stressed with schoolwork lately that I've been writing to keep myself calm. This means I've made quite a bit of progress on "Innocent", though it still won't be up until November-ish. I've also been working on another story, named "Brothers" and that one is another Short Story - about 14000 words, which I've just finished - my teachers seem to have taken pity on me and didn't give me much homework this weekend. :D The link to "Brothers" is on the right-hand-side with the rest of my stories. :)
For those that are interested, here's an excerpt from "Brothers":
“Sirius-”
“Come with me,” Sirius said. He focused on the incantation for a Permanent Sticking Charm and waved his wand in a loop around the room. I hope they like my Gryffindor banners, he thought vehemently. He glanced with a little pang at the photograph of him and the Marauders which was now stuck there for eternity but decided it was better there; he’d have the real thing, now, and Mother and Father would have a constant reminder that he was happy with the people they despised. “You don’t belong here either, Reg. It’ll be you next. They’ll make you join.”
“Sirius I can’t,” Regulus said. “Please, don’t make me choose.”
“That’s more than Father ever gave me,” Sirius said coolly.
“They’d be without an heir.”
“They don’t deserve one.”
“I can’t,” Regulus said. “And I won’t. I’m not asking you to change your mind. It’s past that, but I will ask you to respect my decision. We can still be brothers after this.”
In other news, thank you very much to those who voted in the "IF YOU COULD SAVE ONE HARRY POTTER CHARACTER, WHO WOULD IT BE?" poll.
Results were fairly conclusive - you'd most like to save SIRIUS BLACK, though REMUS LUPIN was an extremely close second. Very interesting... I couldn't get the polls to work so there isn't one up at the moment, but there will be in the near future. :)
It's a long entry today, but it has been a while... :P
Bye for the next week or so!

Hi all!
Sorry for the long break between posts - school's gone back and it's busy at the moment. :S
I don't have anything to report as far as new stories at the moment (though I'm still working on "Innocent" when I can find time).
I've put another poll up so please vote. :)
The results for the most recent poll "IF YOU COULD READ THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS FROM A PERSPECTIVE OTHER THAN HARRY'S, WHOSE WOULD IT BE?" are in and it seems voters would be most interested in hearing from SEVERUS SNAPE.
That's all for the moment! :)

Thursday 12th July, 2012.
Hi, everyone!
Firstly, the results from the poll "WHICH CHARACTER DO YOU MOST LOVE TO HATE?" are in:
Tied for first place are PETER PETTIGREW, DOLORES UMBRIDGE and VERNON DURSLEY. Thanks to everyone who voted. There's another poll up as of now, so please vote for that one too. :)
Secondly, for those who are interested, I believe I made a promise earlier this week... I've deliberately chosen one of the more ambiguous scenes, and I'll be interested to hear what people think. :)
Here's an excerpt from "Innocent":

“There is no need to
apologise,” Dumbledore said, resting a hand on Remus’ trembling shoulder. With
it, Remus was surprised to find, was a scent of guilt. So Professor Dumbledore wishes things had been different now too...
“You being upset is understandable, and you being angry is even more so. I
really do need to get back to the school but I’ll see what I can do about
getting you involved with the search.”
“Thank you,” Remus
said, his voice muffled. “There’s Floo Powder on the mantle.”
“Yes, I remember.
Take care, Remus and let me know if you think of anything else. Headmaster’s
Office, Hogwarts.” There was a whooshing sound and then he was gone. Remus slid
down the wall to the floor and began to cry.
That's it for the moment. :)

Hi everyone! :D
The sixth and final chapter of "Defining Moments" is up, and as you've probably guessed, it's Lily. :) I've published the Google Document for those that are interested - there's a link in the right column. I'd like to say another thank you to everyone who's read and reviewed. :)
Excerpt from Chapter 6:
That's all for the moment, but there will be a post tomorrow at some point, containing a snippet of "Innocent" for those who are interested. :)

Excerpt from Chapter 6:
“Does he
still even go here?” Remus whispered.
“Yes,” James
said. “I had breakfast with him this morning.”
“How’s that
even possible?” Remus asked. “You had breakfast with Peter and me this
morning.”
Potter
ruffled his hair. Lily had been tempted, more than once to cut it all off. “He’s
been having breakfast in the kitchens,” Potter muttered.
“Oh!” Remus
said. And then, “Just so I wouldn’t have to see him?” Potter nodded.
“Shh!” Lily
hissed, trying to see around Potter’s fat head to the blackboard.
James turned, grinned at
her and then turned back to Remus, lowering his voice. That's all for the moment, but there will be a post tomorrow at some point, containing a snippet of "Innocent" for those who are interested. :)

Hello! :D
Chapter 5 is up! Only one more to go. :)
Excerpt from Chapter 5:
“Spit it
out,” Remus said.
“SnapewaspissingmeoffsoItoldhimabouttheWhompingWillowandhewentdownandJameswentdownandwecarriedhimoutandthenDumbledoretalkedandwewentbacktothedormandIpunchedJamesandIstartedcryingandWormtaildidhomework,”
Sirius blurted.
“I’m sorry,
what?” Remus asked. James looked like he wanted to laugh and cry at the same
time and he settled for an uncannily unreadable expression. “What happened?”
“I told
Snape,” Sirius said. “About the Willow.”
“The Whomping
Willow?” Remus asked flatly. Sirius nodded. “Well that was thick of you,” Remus
said, rolling his eyes.
That's all for now. :)
